Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream and Eslor Active Night Cream - review

As mentioned at the beginning of October, in September I switched my skincare routine over to Eslor products and I've been using them since.

You may remember the earlier posts I did on the Eslor sample kit that Eslor kindly sent me this year (see here and here). After testing those samples, I bought the Regenerating Kit ($65US) and Nourishing Kit ($55US), which I managed to pick up at 20% off. At the time Eslor was running a promotion, and I also received a travel-sized Botanical Peeling Gel with the purchase.

Before we begin, please note that I'm not affiliated with Eslor and these views are my own.

*Firming Collagen Day Cream (L) and Active Night Cream (R)

Eslor's Firming Collagen Day Cream and Active Night Cream are part of the Regenerating Kit (see below), which also includes the Soothing Refiner and Cleanser and the Brightening Activator, the latter being my favourite Eslor product - along with the Replenishing Scrub.

I've been using both creams for over six weeks now, and the 15ml travel sizes are still going. While the day cream will be finished shortly, the night cream will last out the month and then some - likely because the day cream is thicker and I use more of it each time.

According to Eslor's website, the products in the Regenerating Kit are derived from Marine Collagen and other natural ingredients to improve cellular renewal and awaken your skin, and improve elasticity and firmness for a natural healthy, youthful glow.

Eslor products are all-natural and free of nasties. For more information, see my posts here and here, or check out Eslor's website. To receive 15% off these kits: use the code KIT15.

Verdict

I really like this one. It's my favourite day moisturiser of Eslor's. It's thick and rich, and you feel like you're doing your skin a favour when you use it. I like the smell and it has a plumping effect - I can't see the fine lines on my forehead after use and this effect lasts for a while. It smooths your skin and makeup goes on like a dream after use.

It contains a bundle of goodies including botanical extracts and hydrolysed marine collagen. While it's a bit expensive, I think it's worth the price.

You can also do what I did and buy it as part of Eslor's Regenerating Kit, so you can trial a decent amount of it for a smaller outlay.

A great cream. My skin thinks so too ; ).

Active Night Cream

Eslor claims/product details:

  • Gives a fresh, youthful glow and rested appearance to your skin
  • Skin feels softer, looks smoother and appears charged with vital energy
  • 100% free of Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (SLES)

Verdict

This one's sensational and, again, I think it's worth the price.

It contains hydrolysed soy milk protein, ginseng extract, sea buckthorn oil, aloe vera and lots of other goodies. Something about it reminds me of Lancome's skincare, which I used many years ago when I had more disposable income ; ).

It's lovely and thick and plumping. It's quite greasy and your skin does look shiny after use, but it's a night cream and my skin tends towards dryness, so this doesn't bother me (I actually like it that way). If you have a look at the Eslor website, you'll see all the glowing five-star reviews of this product.

Another product I highly recommend. It's in my Eslor top three : ).

collagen is actually an important protein that acts as a building block in our hair, skin, nails, and various other parts of the body, and keeps them strong, healthy, and lustrous.
Since collagen is such an essential building block and necessary for good health and overall vitality, you should consider adding more of it to your diet via supplements, because it’s difficult to get adequate amounts through food alone.
