Rosemoon Rich 53% Collagen Smart Balm - review

This is one of those products that I haven't wanted to use while I wasn't getting out of the house as much (blame being in my third trimester over summer ; ) ), but I've recently returned to it because having a newborn does take its toll on your skin and I need some serious hydrating action.

I received it in Memebox Special #35 Moisture Surge and it's one of the very few Memebox products that I really like. Praise the universe that I found at least a few in the bundles of products I trialled from ten boxes!

Rosemoon claims/product details:
  • A nourishing facial cream for deeply hydrating the skin
  • Helps moisturise dry skin
  • Strengthens the protective layer of stressed skin
  • Fortifies the skin's innate strength and function
  • Skin feels soft and smooth to the touch the very next morning
  • To be used at the very last stage of your skincare routine
  • RRP $47 for 50ml

Verdict

I really like this cream. It's one of those products that takes five years off your face when you apply it, and I'm definitely needing some of that at the moment!

You're meant to apply it at night, but once I saw the plumping effect it was having, I switched it to a product that I wear over makeup (or even on its own) when I go out. Seriously, it's brilliant at making you look younger, fresher and brighter. It also works wonders on wrinkles and fine lines.

The texture is more like a gel/cream hybrid and it smells pleasantly of soap. It absorbs well and is one of those products that's handy to have in your handbag to keep you hydrated throughout the day.

I looked into sourcing another one because I wouldn't mind replacing this once it's run out, but had some trouble finding it online. Hopefully that changes come October, when my spending ban is over.

Do you have a cream you like applying over makeup to keep you looking plumped throughout the day? So far this one, Clarins' Beauty Flash Balm and Eslor's Brightening Activator are the best ones I've found for this purpose.
