I bought this product earlier in the year from iHerb: I had a loyalty voucher turn up in my inbox for around $6 and thought I may as well use it to buy something I really needed.

Since I was running dangerously low on eye cream at the time, I used the voucher to buy two products that cost less than $20 each. I wouldn't normally buy cheaper eye creams that I haven't tested because I need really good ones for my ageing, dry eye area, but we're low on cash these days so I thought I'd try my luck with cheaper products and hope for the best.

I haven't opened the other eye cream yet but thankfully this one isn't half bad. It's not the best eye product I've ever tried, but it does enough for my dehydrated eye area and I haven't noticed any extra wrinkles appear, which can sometimes happen when I'm using 'lesser' products. Thank golly! More on all that below.

Verdict

This is a decent product. It's not fantastic, but I can get away with it and my eye area isn't suffering from using it, which is the main thing.

It's a very thick blue cream with a slightly odd texture that reminds me a little of Mario Badescu's Seaweed Night Cream because it feels almost plastic-y/waxy but also creamy too, which takes a little getting used to but I don't mind it because the product works well enough.

There's no discernible scent to the cream, which is fine by me because I'd prefer no scent at all to a bad or overwhelming one. So put this on your list of products to test if you don't like scented creams, because it's rare that I come across one with no scent at all.

A little goes a long way with this cream, and I need to use about half the amount that I do with other eye creams (so I only use about one grain of rice for both eyes, as opposed to one for each). It's quite rich and heavy, which is great for my dry eyes but it mightn't suit everyone - particularly those with oily skin - and I have seen other reviewers say that they can't handle the texture, so do keep that in mind if you don't like rich creams.

I don't think it has any impact on reducing fine lines/wrinkles, puffiness or dark circles, but it also doesn't make any of these things worse - a plus because I have used creams before that make me puffier or don't hydrate enough, so in the past I've wound up with lines I never knew I had if I've used a bad product. I don't with this.

All in all, I don't think this is a brilliant product and it doesn't meet all its claims, but it is super hydrating and for less than $20 I'm happy enough with that. Great, budget eye creams are hard to find, and while this isn't as good as my HG budget Mario Badescu Glycolic Eye Cream (reviewed here), it's not half bad and I recommend it if you're on a budget and need hydration more than anything else.
