Rituals Hammam Delight Foaming Shower Gel - review

You may remember that, last year, I unboxed this Rituals gift set and since then I've been reviewing each product in turn.

Next up is this Rituals Hammam Delight Foaming Shower Gel, and I have reviewed this product before (see here) but not in this particular fragrance - so I thought I may as well go ahead and do a separate post for this version because people are often interested in particular scents and this review may be useful to someone.

Rituals claims/product details:
  • Your skin will feel refreshed and revitalised after using our Hammam Delight shower foam
  • Contains natural and aromatic ingredients of eucalyptus and rosemary
  • Lasts up to 50 showers
  • To use: squeeze a small amount of gel into your hand; massage it into your skin and watch it transform into a rich, creamy, moisturising foam
  • RRP $15 AUD for 200ml (see au.rituals.com, and look out for specials)

I do like the packaging and find it easy to use. You can spray a small or large amount from the nozzle and I've never wound up with too much product in my hand when I've used this.

I also like the packaging of this range, and indeed I've liked the look of the packaging of all the Rituals products I've used to date. This is affordable luxury at its best, and I feel special whenever I reach for one of my Rituals products. That's half the fun!

Verdict

You may well have heard me rave about this product before - indeed the Sakura scent wound up in my yearly favourites - but if not, let me rave now!

This product is honestly the best shower gel I've ever used and I don't plan to ever be without one, whether in this scent or one of the many others available (I'm on my way to trying them all ; )).

It's a gel product in a pressurised can that comes out clear but then foams up quickly on contact with water. A little goes a long way with this so don't squirt out too much: start small and then go from there, once you know how much the gel expands into its foam state.

As soon as the product foams up, the scent hits your nose in a strong way that's not overpowering. This one isn't sweet like the others I've tried so it mightn't be for everyone, but I do like it and it certainly wakes me up because it's refreshing and has a good zing. The fragrance is indeed eucalyptus and rosemary, and I wouldn't have thought I'd like that particular scent for a shower product but I do.

Once on the skin, the foam feels beautifully rich, creamy and luxurious. Almost velvety. I can't remember ever using a body cleanser that feels so wonderful in texture: it's just gorgeous. The product cleans well too - without stripping or irritating my dry, sensitive skin - so that's another plus, and another reason why I don't plan to ever be without this foam again.

All in all, I obviously love this stuff and I've given it an HG tag. It's perfect. Plus it's not too expensive and my bottles always last for ages - much longer than the 50 showers stated in the claims - possibly because I ration it, but a little does go a long way.

Just divine. Easily one of my favourite products of all time. Now to try another scent...
