little white truths

I haven't reviewed a soap for ages so I thought I'd sneak in this little post this morning, since I've had this product for a while and it's time to say a few words about its deliciousness.

I can't remember exactly how I wound up with it - Mum might have brought it back after one of my folks' Australia drives - and it was sitting around for a while before I opened it a few months ago. Reason being, I'm not a big soap user because I prefer body gels, but this one's lovely so I've been happy to use it while it's there.

I love the look of this product: it looks like dessert to me. A lemon tart or a pudding. Delicious.

And yes, it smells delicious too.

Verdict

There's not a lot to say about this product so I'll be brief.

It's a three-layered soap that smells wonderfully lemony and it's quite large so you do get a good amount of product.

It lathers beautifully and although it's not the richest lather I've tried, it's definitely creamy and I've enjoyed using it for the last few months. I don't use it every day because I am tied to my body gels, but I do use it perhaps three times a week and I love it for the scent most of all.

Another thing to note is that it's held up well over the last three months, so while I don't use it every day, I reckon I would still have a bit left even if I did. So yes it's a bit pricey for a soap but it should last a good while and it hasn't gone soft or gunky during that time.

On the claims: I can't speak to whether it treats skin conditions like eczema because I thankfully don't have any of those, but I can say that it hasn't irritated my dry, sensitive skin. That's a plus because soaps often dry my out so I'm pleased that this one hasn't.

Otherwise there's not much else to say about this product except that I'm enjoying it and I recommend it if you're after a special soap for yourself or someone else. It's worth it for the scent alone.
